Known mostly for the allegedly haunted ‘Underground Church’, there’s really not much to Utopia. It’s a small, unincorporated town along the Ohio River in Clermont County. Anyway, the underground ruins are all anyone reading this cares about, so that’s what I’ll talk about.

The Sedamsville Rectory

The Sedamsville Rectory, located at 639 Steiner Avenue in Cincinnati, has been around for a long freaking time. In recent years, it’s become a popular place for ghost hunters, being featured on several paranormal themed, so called reality shows.

The Ohio River ‘Ghost Ship’

USS Sachem

About 20 miles or so down river from Cincinnati, in Petersburg, KY, sits what’s known as the “Ghost Ship”. Though there aren’t actually any ghost stories connected to it that that we’ve heard of, this rusted relic does have a lot of history behind it. Built in 1902 for Railroad exec. J.Rogers Maxwell, it was originally a yacht named The Celt.

The Tunnels Under Bobby Mackey’s

Tunnels under Bobby Mackey's

You’ll find these tunnels along the shore of the Licking River, back behind the parking lot of Bobby Mackey’s in Wilder, KY. You may have seen or heard of them on Ghost Adventures, as they supposedly lead to the ‘well’ in the basement at Mackey’s. So, if true, this would be the route Pearl Bryan’s head would have taken out of the building, if, in fact, it was tossed down the well there. There’s a lot of ‘if’s’ to this story. Ever since we started doing this in 2007, people have been asking us the Dunham Recreation Complex. We never bothered with it till now for a couple of reasons, the main one being we didn’t figure we could get the pictures we would want to make a post worth while.
